Tips

This tip is going to be short and sweet.

BE YOURSELF!

Yes, we all can and need to learn from those who have come before us but as an artist you should never aim to be them. God made you who you are so you could share the uniqueness you were given.

So learn who you are, gain wisdom from other & polish!

“Nobody can be you but YOU”

Communication is KEY if you want to live life with others as smoothly as possible and the same is true when it comes to business. So many times lack of communication has been the root of SOOO MUCH confusion and business relationship strain.

For example if you are an artist and you desire to book time to have your song mixed from 2pm until 5pm on monday DON’T show up at 3pm and expect that to be cool. Yes, at times things change but when they do you have to communicate. So if your car broke down and is going to make you late, communicate that and I’m sure there will be understanding there.

Boil it down: Most people respect and enjoy working with men and woman of their word. So if you agree to something and neglect to follow through or communicate that things have changed don’t be surprised if that relationship becomes tarnished.

Communicate!

As a production company that also provides studio services we hear from artists about how expensive studio time needed to complete a song or a project can be, but rarely do you find these same artists coming to the studio as prepared as they can be.

The focus of this tip is to help artists understand that coming to the studio well prepared will take less time to get things done thus you will SAVE MONEY! So, making sure you have a plan of what you want to knock out, rehearsing your lyrics before coming in to record, have a list of questions to ask the producer or engineer ready are a few ways of eliminating wasted time once you’re in the studio.

Now, if you just have money to blow, hey don’t change a thing! But if you’re looking to stretch your dollar Come Prepared.
